This Sephardic saying was spoken by my ancestors in Izmir, Turkey. They spoke Ladino (a dying language that is a combination of Hebrew and Spanish) and it was said to give gratitude for a meal, or something prepared with love and intention by one's hands."Bendichas Manos" allows me to deeply honor my Sephardic Jewish ancestors from Izmir Turkey who spoke Ladino, while also honoring both unique languages that make up Ladino. While Ladino represents my Sephardic ancestors, Hebrew alone represents my Jewish culture, traditions, and ancestors, and the Spanish language and traditions taught me how to cultivate my own connection to the gift of prayer, reverence, and connection to the elements through ceremony.

United by divine contracts, souls have been gathering together for thousands, if not millions, of years. To explore their heart space, to laugh, to celebrate, to love.

To find joy and harmony in presence, to overflow with gratitude for the gift of all that arises in the present moment, whether it's challenging as hell or the most pleasurable moment of your life, is the most sacred opportunity. And it's up to each of us to experience it. To feel it. To embrace it. To love it. To let it go.

This dance of birth and death exists in every moment, every day. It is ours to play with. It is in our hands to cultivate, to bring intention, love, joy, and stillness. To celebrate.
